FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions

What is the right-of-way of township roads?

The right of way along township roads are measured from the center of the road.  The distance to measure is 30' from the center of the road.

Will the township replace my mailbox that was knocked down by snowplow?

Most of the time mailboxes are knocked down during a heavy snow event by the snow being thrown from the plow.  If this is the case the township is not responsible for replacing the mailbox.  However, if our plow hits the box itself, we will replace the mailbox with a basic metal box on a 4x4 post.
